St. Michael's Parish is hosting a New Year's Eve Ball this year, which will serve as a Fundraiser towards the payment of our debt to the Diocese of Stockton. Our parish owes over $160,000 for the Frank and Ina Luchetti Ministry Center which was built in 2000. Our weekly collections do not generate enough revenue to make our payments, which are over $5,000 per month. All of the proceeds from this event will go towards the debt of the Luchetti Ministry Center.
The New Year's Eve Ball will be held on Saturday night, December 31st at 07:00 pm at the Clarion Hotel (Stockton Inn) on Waterloo Road. This will be a black tie optional event that will include a prime rib dinner, champagne toast and prizes. Live music by "Martin Martinez Swing Band" will provide the backdrop for dancing throughout the night. The price of the ticket is $150 per person. Our goal is to accommodate 250 people for this grand event. For an additional cost, the hotel will have rooms reserved for those who wish to spend the night to avoid worries of travelling that evening. The rooms will be at a special St. Michael's room rate which will include breakfast the next morning.
